Gender Reveal!

IMG_8657We were very excited for our 20 week ultrasound yesterday, where we were able to see our little one moving around again and found out that baby is very healthy. Being able to feel baby moving at the same time that you see it happening on the sonogram is just the weirdest, most amazing experience ever. This time we even got to do the 3D ultrasound so we could see baby’s face – we are already in love!! Almost time for the big reveal!

I’m so excited because tomorrow is the day we will find out if Baby P is a boy or a girl!! We have our ultrasound in the morning, then we’ll do a small gender reveal party for our families in the evening. We’ll let the rest of the world know sometime after that.

Until then, let us know what you think we are having in the poll below! If you buy into any of the old wives’ tales in predicting gender, you can find my results in Baby P’s week 19 update. Continue reading

23 Months/Week 19

I’m a talking machine. I’m really starting to be able to speak in full sentences and express what I want. I love to sing songs (Twinkle Twinkle, ABCs, anything from Frozen) and dance/skip around. I am starting to potty train and so far it has been pretty successful (especially when mommy and daddy read me the Potty Book). I like to play with trains – my favorite is Percy from Thomas and Friends – and I like to take him with me in my pocket when we go in the car. I’m also getting a jump on helping around the house – I love to vacuum! I like to do things by myself now, especially going up and down the stairs. I make mommy and daddy wait at the top/bottom while I go up/down (“Stop it! Stay!”). Now that mommy has a baby in her tummy I have become very interested in other babies, and make sure I say hi/good morning to the baby everyday. Continue reading

Geoff, Henry and I are so happy to announce that we are expecting Baby #2! Henry is very excited to be a big brother, and we can’t wait to be a family of FOUR!

I’m currently 14 weeks along (hello, second trimester), but here is the sonogram from a few weeks ago at our 8 week appointment. For the record, that’s a baby, not a shrimp.

So far my bump has been much more prominent than last time (click here for a comparison to 15 weeks with Henry). I haven’t taken many bumpies yet, but below are a couple from 13 weeks. I’ll add them here as we go so you can see them all in one spot. The ones from when I was pregnant with Henry are still up there, too.

So that’s the big news!! I’m way too busy with Henry to post weekly like I did last time (I mean, c’mon – I can barely keep up with the monthly posts), but I’ll do my best to post updates and new developments. Thanks to everyone who has sent us love and well wishes! Baby #2 is due March 22, 2016.

Height: 32″
 25.5 lbs

Things I like: My favorite game is when mommy and daddy chase me and try to “get” me. I run away really fast but then I let them catch me because they tickle me and it is really fun. I also really love to shake maracas! Daycare has a maraca and I love it so much that I don’t let anyone else play with it. I was really happy when I woke up this morning because mommy and daddy gave me my very own maracas for my birthday! But even though I really love my maracas, I still love Bear the best. P.S. Mom, I can tell the difference between Bear and that imposter Bear you got me for where when real Bear has to go in the wash.

Things I don’t like: Putting on my winter clothes. Mommy and daddy say I have to wear my hat, mittens and coat to stay warm when we go outside, but I don’t like them because they make it hard for me to move around and play with toys. I look pretty cute when I’m all bundled up, though.

Milestones: I’m one year old! I learned that if I point at stuff and say “eh!” or “my!” that mommy and daddy will bring me wherever I want to go (usually to turn off a lightswitch or to pull on the freezer door or things like that). I’m SOOOOO big, and I walk everywhere like a champ. Plus I am really good at using the signs for “bottle” and “all done.” I refuse to sign “please.” Mommy and daddy think I signed “thank you” one time, but I was actually trying to blow mommy a kiss 🙂
